| In April 2010, a crew
from Schwartz Siding & Roofing (a local contractor from the
town), began maintenance on the roof of the barn.
Over the years many of the nails holding
the metal sheeting in place began to pop up, allowing rain to
leak in through the roof which caused water damage in some
areas. Several days were spent pulling out the loose nails
and replacing them with screws.
This is only a temporary fix until more
funds are available to put on a new roof.
Schwartz Siding and Roofing is making a
large donation back to the Stone Barn to help with the remaining
restorations. Thanks Jack! |
