The Jeffris Family Foundation is dedicated to Wisconsin's cultural history and heritage through preserving regionally and nationally important historic buildings and decorative art projects. The Foundation supports significant projects that strive for high preservation standards and show a strong degree of local support.
Founded in Janesville, Wisconsin in 1979, the Foundation currently has more than $20 million in assets, and grants about $1 million annually. Because of the Foundation's focus on preservation, it has developed specific criteria for selecting projects.

The Town of Chase received an $18,000 grant from the Jeffris Family Foundation in 2007 to help pay for an Historic Structures Report for the Stone Barn which is required in order to apply for their larger Preservation Grant in 2009.
This was a very costly report because a professional engineer with experience working with historic structures had to be hired to do an in-depth analysis of the Stone Barn. The report (which I call the Barn Bible) includes a complete history of the barn, what needs to be restored, recommendations on how to do the restorations, costs estimates for those restorations, and a recommended maintenance plan.
If the Preservation Grant is approved this year, it will pay for 1/3 of the restoration costs for the Stone Barn.
The Town of Chase is very grateful for the financial assistance they received from this Foundation and appreciates their continued support of the Chase Stone Barn Park.
