2007
LOTTERY AND GAMING CREDIT INSTRUCTIONS
You may claim the lottery and gaming
credit for 2007 taxes if, on January 1, 2007,
you were the owner of the property and used the property as your primary
residence.
NOTE: Your
primary residence
is where you live most of the time.
When you are temporarily away, it is the home to which you return. You
can have only one primary residence.
How do I know if I qualify for a Lottery Credit?
If you lived in your primary residence as of January 1st,
2007, then you qualify for a Lottery Credit.
How do I know if I received or did not receive a Lottery Credit?
When you get your tax bill, look under the
middle section of your tax bill where it says, "Lottery & Gaming
Credit." Follow that row over to the 2007 column. If you
lived in your home as of January 1st of 2007, then you should see a lottery
credit for $88.38. If the total says .00, then
you did not receive the credit.
I am entitled to a Lottery
Credit but did not get one . . . now what do I do?
Between December and January:
Call the town treasurer at (920) 822-3322 to let her know that you lived
in your home as of January 1st, but did not receive a Lottery Credit.
She will then mail you a Lottery Credit Application Card, or you can
print one off this website by clicking on the link below. Fill it
out and return it to the treasurer, preferably with your tax payment.
The mailing instructions are on the bottom of the form.
Between February and October: You have until October 2008 to claim your Lottery Credit. For example, if your tax
bill is for 2007, then you have until October of 2008 to claim your
credit. Please call the County Treasurer at (920) 834-6814 and
explain that you did not get your Lottery Credit, and they will instruct
you what to do.
I was entitled to a Lottery Credit . . . why didn't I get one?
The county only sent out lottery credit
application cards in 1999.
Due to administrative and mailing costs they cannot afford to do this on
a yearly basis. They
do, however, advertise this information yearly in the local newspapers.
The town also advertises this information in the town newsletter that
goes out with the tax bills and on this website. If you are
entitled to receive a credit, but did not get one, it is YOUR
responsibility to request the credit from your local or county treasurer.
I already paid my taxes, and only now
noticed that I did not get my credit . . . now what?
Between December and January:
Call the town treasurer at (920) 822-3322 to let her know that you
already paid your tax bill, and only now realized that you did not
receive your Lottery Credit. She will verify that you are entitled
to receive one. She can either send you a Lottery Credit
Application Card or you can print it off this website by clicking on the
link below. Fill in the required information and mail it back to
the treasurer. If she is still processing the town tax bills, she
can issue you a check for the amount of the Lottery Credit.

Lottery and Gaming Credit, contact the County Treasurer’s Office at
